Lundell brukade alltid rita mellan tolv och tu. Rehnhjelm var undergiven
och lydde, ehuru han hade svårt att skiljas från sin vän Sellén, som han
tyckte om, under det han däremot hyste avgjord motvilja för Lundell.

-- Vi träffas i alla fall i Röda Rummet i kväll? framkastade Sellén
tröstande, och därom voro alla ense, till och med filosoferna och den
moraliske Lundell.
