På samma förlag utkommo uppl. 2 (1879), uppl. 3 och 4 (1880) och uppl. 5 (1886). På Hugo Gebers förlag utkommo uppl. 6 1899 och uppl. 7 1904. Dessutom ingick arbetet i Strindbergs Samlade romaner och berättelser på C. & E. Gernandts förlag (häft. 6-15) 1899-1900, vadan alltså, om denna edition räknas som sjunde uppl., den Geberska av 1904 rätteligen bör kallas den 8:de. Denna räkning har också iakttagits vid de följande editionerna -- någon nominell 8:de uppl. har aldrig utkommit. 1907 utkommo uppl. 9 och 10, 1908 uppl. 11, 1909 uppl. 12 och 1910 uppl. 13. Uppl. 9-13 äro enkronasuppl. och utgivna på Albert Bonniers förlag. Författaren har efter första uppl. icke genomsett någon av de följande upplagorna utom -- troligen -- den andra, och detta helt flyktigt.
