De båda främmande på stället sökte läsa i Borgs ansikte om det var fråga om något skämt, men där stod ingenting skrivet. Nu togo de av till vänster i en korridor, som återgav ljudet av deras steg på ett sätt som om någon gått bakom dem. Falk sökte komma omedelbart efter Borg och få Sellén efter sig.
