Till modern hade Alma slutit sig med blind tillit och oinskränkt

Men hon såg både felen och svagheterna, ty Alma, som hade en rent
instinktslik förnimmelse af säkerhet gentemot denna kvinna, som ville
henne väl, gjorde aldrig minsta försök att dölja de små skuggsidorna i
sin karakter. Hon visste ju ändå, att inför denna djupa tillgifvenhet
skulle de intet betyda.

Fru Zimmermann märkte hennes brist  vilja, hennes ostadighet, den
småstadsöfverlägsenhet med hvilken hon här sökte framställa sin
